Our Mission
Our mission is to consistently deliver high-quality premium Morro Creek Ranch avocados grown in Morro Bay California. Our loyal customers—including restaurants, sushi bars, catering companies and local health-focused and specialty stores—rely on our premium Hass avocados.
Our Story
Morro Creek Ranch—formerly part of the original Morro and Cayucos Spanish Land Grant—began in 1978 with the purchase of 348 acres spanning Highway 41, just two miles east of Morro Bay California. Once it was clear that the heart-healthy Hass avocado variety would thrive in this unique microclimate, we established an extensive orchard of more than 11,000 trees.
To meet the growing demand for our fruit, we created La Palapa, a small roadside fruit stand that first opened in 1980 and remained in operation until its renovation in early 2012. What began as a modest stand has since grown into a welcoming roadside country store. Today, our updated shop—now known as The Avocado Country Store—is open year-round, seven days a week, closing only for major holidays.
